Occupational Health & Safety Legislation Awareness
This is a one-day course designed to give participants a solid understanding of the basic structure of Alberta’s Occupational Health and Safety legislation. Participants will learn to successfully locate information in the OHS Handbook by completing individual exercises and participating in group work. Each participant will receive an OHS Handbook as part of the course materials.
Course topics include:
- Overview of the different types of legislation that may impact a workplace
- Structure and content of Alberta’s OHS Act, Regulations, and Code
- Locating information in Alberta’s OHS Handbook
- Overview of the OHS compliance and enforcement tools used in Alberta

Fees are paid directly to Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA).
ACSA Member: $85 each
ACSA Associate Member: $100 each
Non ACSA Member: $375 each
