Building Sustainable Communities: Lessons Learned
Dale Mikkelsen, VP of Development for UniverCity, in Burnaby BC. Dale will be talking about Building Sustainable Communities: Lessons Learned...if it worked there, will it work here? Some of the lessons may be transferable to the Bow Valley, some may not be.
As VP of Development, Dale's role is to raise the bar of sustainable community planning to ensure UniverCity remains on the leading edge of energy efficiency, material conservation, healthy environments and community building.
Dale is also on the board for Whistler Housing Authority and is in charge of their construction projects for affordable housing. They design and build to the Passive House standard to increase the affordability of subsidized housing.
Dale will be joining us virtually, from his own passive house home office in Whistler.
