Professor Tang Lee: Sustainable Building Design and Energy Efficiency
Professor Tang Lee’s expertise in the building industry comes from 41 years of teaching and research on building design, materials and building codes. He has also been a practicing architect since 1980 and continues to design solar heated, healthy and sustainable buildings.
Professor Tang Lee has been teaching building science, sustainable design, indoor air quality, lighting and acoustics, as well as mechanical (HVAC) and civil (masonry) engineering at several universities in Canada and abroad. He is qualified as an expert witness in the areas of building science, building codes, architecture, indoor air quality, and general health. Professor Lee was appointed to the National Building Code of Canada to update Part 5 of the 2015 and 2020 building codes. He serves on several committees of Health Canada, National Research Council of Canada, and the Canadian Construction Materials Centre.
