Stew Walkinshaw, Montane Forest Management will discuss FireSmart: How Prepared is the Bow Valley for Wildfire?
Stew is a recognized expert on wildfire preparedness in Alberta. He has consulted to communities such as Fort McMurray, Pincher Creek and Waterton, and is currently revising the Town of Canmore's FireSmart plan. This presentation will highlight what the Town has been doing to reduce the risk of wildfire, and what more needs to be done.
